Freelance Web Consultant & Developer

Luxury Stone Inc. · myluxurystone.com ↗

Jan 2026
  • Rebuilt and launched a WordPress (Elementor) site for a local stone countertop and vanity business within one month, independently managing planning, development, hosting setup, and deployment.
  • Worked directly with the business owner to gather requirements and incorporate feedback, recreating the existing design — including an animated image header, a large project gallery, and contact forms.
  • Advised the client to rebuild rather than pay a large website buyout to exit a hosting contract, recreating the site from the client's licensed template and owned assets.
  • Analyzed site traffic to select a scalable host, leaving room to upgrade as traffic grows.

Online Library Web App

University of Washington · Team of 4

  • Planned and built a full-stack library app over one quarter with Next.js, TypeScript, and a REST API backed by PostgreSQL.
  • Led design and architecture discussions to agree on the database schema and app structure, and divided responsibilities across the team.
  • Set up and managed the PostgreSQL database — schema design, data cleaning, and application integration.
  • Built features end to end, from Material UI components and pages to API endpoints and middleware, taking on more as the workload grew.
  • Implemented login and registration with NextAuth and JWT session tokens to protect routes and API endpoints.
  • Tested endpoints with Postman and configured a CI/CD pipeline from GitHub to Heroku.

Project Manager App

University of Washington · Team of 4

  • Developed a Java Swing desktop app featuring task creation, budget tracking, import/export, and a custom file management system.
  • Took a leadership role on the team, organizing weekly meetings and driving discussions.
  • Led design and development of import/export using JSON for persistence and data exchange, with Gson for serialization.
  • Applied OOP principles — encapsulation, abstraction, inheritance, polymorphism — for flexible, maintainable code.
  • Used Git and GitHub for version control, code reviews, and collaboration across the team.
  • Wrote the majority of the Javadoc documentation and comprehensive JUnit unit tests.
